The Call
Narrative Editorial / Kodak Portra 400 / 2026
The Call is a cinematic portrait series exploring the quiet moment a person receives a phone call that subtly alters the course of their life. Set within a single interior space, the work follows three distinct characters as they move through anticipation, interruption, and aftermath.
Rather than focusing on overt drama, the series examines smaller shifts — changes in posture, gaze, and body language that reveal emotional movement beneath the surface. Through restrained performance, fashion-informed styling, and a controlled visual language, the images function as fragments of larger unseen stories.
Shot on analogue film, The Call sits between editorial portraiture and staged narrative work, inviting viewers to project their own meaning into the spaces between images.
